The Trust hosted its 3rd annual Family Holiday Party at the Columbia Heights Youth Center on Friday, December 21st to celebrate the holiday season. The night was filled with food, gifts, student and school performances and a special guest from the North Pole - Santa!
The Trust hosted its annual School Information & Application Workshop for OSP families with students transitioning into a new school for next fall. The program team went over the various steps and requirements needed to complete and submit private school applications for the 2013-14 school year. Parent/guardians also learned about other sources for financial aid and help with covering the additional costs to the schools.
The Trust hosted its annual orientation for returning and new OSP families for the 2012-13 school year. Parents arrived at Archbishop Carroll High School where they learned how to plan for the school year and maximize usage of their student's scholarship.
The Trust hosted its annual D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) School Placement & Welcome Fair. The event consisted of a partner and participating school fair, lunch and free school supply giveaway.
The Trust held its second OSP Application Event at Fort Davis Recreation Center in southeast. Parents came from all over the District to apply for K-12 scholarships to enrol their child in a District private school.
The Trust held its 1st D.C. OSP Application Event. More than 700 District residents submitted over 520 applications!
