How long do I have to use the scholarship?

Your scholarship can only be used in the school year for which it was awarded, and may not be applied to previous or future school years.

Does my scholarship rollover to the next school year?

Your scholarship does not rollover to the next year. You must reapply every school year for a scholarship.

Can I use my scholarship for another child?

The scholarship may only be used for the child for whom the scholarship was awarded.

Can I use my scholarship outside of the District of Columbia?

While other states have similar programs like ours, the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship may only be used within the District at a participating nonpublic school.
